Yamaha 9.9 Stator Failures

I have a 2000 T9.9 (25" High Thrust)that has burned out 3 stators. I've replaced the CDI unit along with the last stator and it still went bad after 60 hours. Some have implied that it is somehow due to the charging circuit of the starting battery. Any troubleshooting suggestions would be really appreciated.<br />Kokomo36@juno.com

If you are trying to run a deep cycle battery with it, you will keep burning it up. The battery drain may be too great for the stator output.
