Yamaha 90 Clutch will not engage

I just replaced my water pump housing on a 2002 Yamaha 90 LTRB and pushed the lower unit back in place. The water pump and engines work fine, but the boat will not go forward or backward. What's wrong? PLEASE HELP.

you have most likly missed the shift splines between the shift rod on the lower to the shift rod on the upper.
drop the case a bit and have a look.
it happens.

Thanks. That's exactly what happened. I dropped it down and with the help with my lovely wife, wiggle that baby back in, and off I go. Thanks.
