Yamaha C40 1993 Bent Prop Shaft Removel

I am looking for some help on removing a bent prop shaft on my 1993 yamaha c40. If anyone can help me out with a step by step process of how to get the prop shaft out to replace it I would appreciate it. I believe the bearings are fine because there is no play in the drive shaft in and out, or left and right. What about the seals? Is this a DIY job or should I take it to the professional and pay him $87.50/hr? Thanks.

remove the bearing carrier,withdraw the propshaft. remove the shift clutch from the shft, installation is the reverse.
a manual would be the first tool to use.
