yamaha digital guages

is it normal for the yama`s digital speedo and tach displays to just fade away, and is there a fix or are new guages in order

Any LCD display will fade over time, sun, etc.....just be happy you had yamaha gauges that last long enough to do that....and if you have an old boat and don't wanna sink 700 to 1000 into it, Yamaha does make the Pro Series II (analog) gauges and they are a steal...
