Yamaha Digital Speedo and GPS

I have a year 2000 boat running a 150 carbed VMAX with digital gauges.

How can I tell if my digital speedo will accept the speed reading from a GPS instead of using the standard pitot tube.

Your speedo is a pressure guage. No chance it will read a GPS.

I could have sworn that I read on here a year or so ago that you could do that with a digital gauge. Seems I remember rodbolt giving the instructions about getting an adapter and how it hooks up.

I guess it must have been some other kind of gauge or something. Maybe part of the fuel management system gauges and not a digital speedo.
