i have a excel 225 2 stroke on my cabo 216. it idles fine and runs great at wot. the problem is when i put it in gear and throttle it will stumble blubber and then die. if i hit the choke switch after i put it in gear it seems to clear itself and then run. i changed the fuel line to the engine, new prime bulb and cleaned the filter at the motor. no help! i was thinking maybe a bad fuel pump or a piece of crud in one of the carbs. i could sure use some help. anybody have any ideas? thanks in advance and hope to hear back soon.

Either or both is likely. replace the pumps and clean the carbs being sure you replace the bowl gaskets.
