Yamaha F100 Trim/Tilt problem

On my Yamaha F100 (2000), the trim/tilt becomes stuck when raised to the extreme UP position, and won't come back down unless I turn the manual release screw with a flathead screwdriver. Then the trim/tilt will work fine until raised in the extreme up position again. Does anyone know why this may be happening (some sort of air lockup, bent piston shaft, etc.)?

Mine is doing the same exact thing on same motor. Did you figure out the problem? If so, what do I need to do? Thanks

check with your local dealer, best I recall there was a tech buliten on up main valving.
