I have an 07 F20 and until recently it ran perfectly, with a genuine 180hrs only. Ive noticed on the last 2 trips that theres a petrol slick coming off of it into the water all the time. the engine still runs and ticks over perfectly but the fuel economy is horrendous too. If I detach the fuel line from the engine it stops within minutes but starts as soon as its re-primed. Carb stuck float maybe or is it even more simple that that. Thanks in advance.
Andy.

I would think if you disconnected any motors fuel line the motor would stop withing a few minuets and start back up once you primed it and hit the starter.

You are going to have to look for fuel leaks yourself as we cannot look at your motor from our computers.

Check fuel pump to make sure it is not that is cauing extra fuel to be dumped into the crankcase or somewhere else

Thanks for the very prompt reply. Why would the petrol be coming into the water and not under the engine cowl. I appears to be weaping from the small exhaust hole next to the water outlet if that makes sense.
