Yamaha F250 / Polar 2300 CC Prop Selection

I just purchased a Polar 2300 CC with Yamaha F250. I am wondering if anyone can recommend the best prop to use for overall performance (SS or Alum). I will be operating with 2 / 4 people and 120 gals of fuel (typical)

I assume the boat came with a prop? You first have to take the boat out and run it at full throttle. Then take down the speed, rpm(you're looking between 5600-6000) and your prop specs. Without the tach reading or knowing the prop you have now....it's a guessing game. Besides....you might already have the right prop.8)

15-1/4 X 19 S/S Thunderbolt (Mirage copy) by Mercury Quicksilver. These large diameter props work great on the Yamaha's. Buy the prop and then the hub kit for the Yamaha and you will be good to go.
