I have a 2000 yamaha f25elhy. I hit a submerged rock with the prop in forward and reverse with high rpms. The prop tips are all bent over. There is no other external damage. I idled back to shore with bad noises including a constant clanking and an occasional sound of a possible loose piece of metal. I hear the noise in neutral and in gear, half way between the prop and engine just below the two holes facing the boat that cooling water come out of. No noises from prop area. I am very mechanical but with no experience in this area. I want to take the lower end apart myself to try and fix it. Please advise me on how to proceed. Thank you.
