yamaha four stroke 115 prop

how tight should the nut be on the prop just installed a new one and forgot to check the old one before pullin it off seems if i tighten it to much the prop wont turn freely

You should be able to crank down as much as you can and not bind. Is the thrust washer on between the prop and gearcase?

After taking a closer look i found the thrust washer on the old prop (oops) probably the reason it was binding (duh) thanks for the advice everything fits great now.
