Yamaha Fuel Connector Problem

I am not mechanically inclined at all. I pulled the end of my fuel line out of the motor and the little brass piece that sits in the motor end stayed on the fuel line end when I pulled out. I have no idea if anything else fell out when that happened. I pushed the sliver button and with some force I managed to pull the brass piece off the fuel line end. All I see in the motor end is the one male end that is usually there and a black rubber concave hole looking similar to a spark plug boot. Do I just push the brass piece back into that rubber or am I missing some parts? Is this an easy fix? Please help. (Motor is a 2006 90 2 Stroke)

Push the connector back into the fuel line....maybe add a hose clamp or zip tie around hose to keep it from slipping off the fitting again..

Ok. So there is nothing that sits in that black boot but the brass piece that came off with the hose? I pulled it off at night and thought maybe something fell out from in behind. It will be tight to get in there with a zip tie or hose clamp.
