yamaha gearbox problem

I have a yam 90 that keeps breaking the gear shifter inside the gearbox.anyone got any ideas

The pin can be bent from shifting without the engine running. Gears can be stripped from shifting at too high RPMs.

i've been getting the work done by a local yamaha dealer and he says there is no signs of any damage to the gears or anything.the second time the shifter broke he fitted a new driveshaft incase the old one was worn.each time the shifer breaks after about 1-2 hours
