Yamaha muti-function gauges

I recently purchased a boat with these two Yamaha guages. One with tach, trim and ???? And the other with fuel, speed and ??? Can anyone tell me what else would be in these two clusters. In addition, any ideas as to where I may find some type of manual for these so I know they are working correcly, before I just end up replacing with standard gauges.<br />thanks,<br />Bill

hello<br /> you will also have to tell me what color wires come out the back as the functions changed as the years passed. the earliest tach, trim indicator, and oil warning. the latest visual for oil level and alarms. hour meter,visual for over temp, visual for water in fuel, tach and trim. the speedo has speed, fuel level can have a seperate overheat or water in fuel depending on year and engine wiring configuration and if some one hooked it up, has battery,late style shows volts. see I really need more info. try to find the yamaha tech gude and a rigging guide for the year you think the gauges are.<br />and the white connector blocks changed in 1995. the pre 95 wont fit post 95 without adaptors.<br />good luck and keep posting

Those guages cost 336.00 each I wouldn't throw them out. They work well. If the were properly set up. There are dip switches in side them. Every thing you need is in those two guages. Tach,Trim,Fuel,Speed,Hours,volts,Trip,and warning high temp and low oil and no oil. They are the best guages on the market. If you look at the little symbols it tells you what they mean. The boat up and at the bottom it down thats trim. The thermometer is temp. Look at them as you work the trim. The instructions come with guages. You can call Yamaha or see a dealer. If they were set up right you should be able to play with them and figure them out. When you turn the key on there are three leds that blink that is a self test of the guages. On the bottom of the tach. There is temp/no oil/low oil/ ok.

The boat is a 1991 Sunchaser Deck boat. 4.3v6 with yamaha outdrive. --<br />--The engine and outdrive are 1991 as well

Is the motor a 1991 as well? If so are the gauges original items for that motor or are they after market add-ons?<br /><br />You can get what you can from the forum here or contact a Yamaha dealer and get thier input or an owner's manual from them...it may cost you though.

Im not a guage or motor guru but will throw my .02 in:<br /><br />I was considering the multi function guages for my new yamaha 150 Four Stroke but decided to go with the Bezel guages for three reasons.<br /><br />#1 After driving a car for more than 30 years, I am more familiaiar with the conventional guage look and am more inclined to understand whats going on.<br /><br />#2 Visibility of the LCD display's such as the multi function guages can be compromised when wearing polarized sunglasses.<br /><br />#3 Winters here in the Northeast are not kind to electronics. Extreme cold can freeze the crystals used in the guage display unit.<br /><br />The multi function guages offer a lot information for the area which they take up compared to other alternatives. For the electronic savy folks, this offers everything at your finger tips but for the folks like me that still haven't figured out the TV remote, we're glad to be looking at the conventional guages.<br />Kevin

I have a 93 115 with the original multi digital guages. I cant see an hour meter on mine - only a clock and trip meter. My mechanic is a huge Yammy fan (not a dealer though) and he advised me to get an hour meter (given that he services the engine I assume that he knows the guages).
