Can someone please tell me the weight of a 1996 L/S (model 6MLHU) 6hp Yamaha engine. (the NADA website says 60lbs but the owner says 80lbs+. Is there a Yamaha website that would give me information (specs etc) for a motor this old. I'd also like to purchase an Owners manual (not a service manual)for this motor---is there a website to order this manual. Thank's for any information that can help. Bill

I don't know but my guess would be 60lbs since that is close to what a OMC motor that size would weigh. 80lbs would be for more like a 9.9.

Here is a service manual CD on ebay. Seems kinda expensive. It's the only one on there.

Cant be sure about a '96 model but a 1998 6 MHW L/S weighs in at 27.5 kg ( 60.5lbs)
