Yamaha Oil System??Questions, downloads??

My neighbor has a 05/200 hp Yam.Fuel injected.
SX200TXRD
The oil tank on the engine, should it be kept full when running by the motor?
I pulled the cowl and first thing I noticed no oil in the bottle??

He had a problem and possibly scored one cyl(bot.L)
Said the main oil pump was replaced but not sure how the system works??
Comp 150# all but bot.L it's at 120#
Runs good and has lots of power.

Really need to get as much info on the oil injection, or oil system.
Free manuals or any down loads available?
I work on Forces/Mercury's and can do the basics on everything else.

I want to go fishing but wanna make sure the motors gonna run and not crap out

There is an oil pump in the remote tank that keeps the engine tank full by triggering the switches in the float inside the tank. His alarm system must not be working or he would be getting a red light and alarm when the tank is at about 1/3. Also if the tank inside the boat gets low, it will also quit transferring until you either add oil or use the manual transfer switch on the engine
