Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on this forum, and from what I can tell by running a "ox66" query in the search feature, it's full of excellent information on Yamaha 0x66 motor's.

I currently own a Parker 21se with a 200 hp Yamaha ox66. I purchased a Yamaha factory manual from the dealer and have been using it to do some of the maintainance so far.

After reading some of the articles on this website, I have forund that some of the terms or names for parts I cannot find in the factory manual...

Example:
1.)Draw tube for the o2 sensor. Where is it? I see the atachment block, gasket, etc... but no Draw Tube mentioned.

2.)Pressure Valve Grommet?
3.)Poppet Valve Grommet?

I want to take care of these areas in my preventive maintainance program, but could use a little help locating them.

Thanks

Re: Yamaha ox66 Maintainance

In your yamaha manual, the draw tube is called "Oxygen density sensor joint" its on the same page that has the detailed diagram of the 02 sensor.

I believe #2 and #3 refer to the same thing.

It is located on the "Exhaust Covers" page of the manual, and is called "Pressure Control Valve". The grommet is the "Pressure Control Valve Seat".

-- Tom

On my ox66 150 the prv is on the bottom of the engine, just below the computer, a pretty good size hose attached to the housing. Get a torque wrench too. Welcome fellow space cadet! :)

Tsheehy & Capt Paul,

Thanks for the quick responses. I'm sure I'll have more questions later on.

Bucktails
