I have just bought a reconditioned RIB which happended to have a supposedly fully functional Yamaha Pro 50 (circa 1988). Everything seemed fine, but I cannot get any spark on engine. Fuel running through, starter motor turns well, compression good. Any ideas on where to start looking for spark problem?

Thanks - do you have any tips on how to locate the cut-off wire? I am a newby.

Get a FACTORY service manual or trace the wires back from the remote control.

The emergency stop switch wires are white and black you need to do a continuity test with multi meter, make sure the shift lever is in nuetral, check the nuetral start switch; check the fuse; and all ground and wire connections;

It would help if you posted the exact and complete model number from the data plate. That way you can get the correct manual and the correct parts
