I?m trying to replace the current prop on my boat, but I can?t read the size and pitch on the old one. The dealership has not been helpful, so I figured I would ask the online experts. Anyone have a guess for what size and pitch should be on my boat?

Boat: 2004 17.5' Larson SEi 180 bow rider
Weight: est. 2000-2500 lbs
Engine: Yamaha 90hp 2-stroke (WOT range 4,500 to 5,500)
WOT speed: 37 mph (speedometer)
WOT RPM: ~ 4,800
Acceleration: Planes well for being a bit underpowered.
Current prop: 3 blade aluminum; unknown brand, size, pitch

The current prop size/pitch performs pretty well for what I need it for. I just wish I know what size it was..... I?m guessing Larson outfitted the 90hp version with a smaller pitch prop so they would still plane quickly. Thanks for the help guys

Re: Yamaha Prop recommendation

Prop size or number may be under the prop nut.
If no numbers a prop shop can measure it for you.
If you can get the prop through an exchange program start with a 15"pitch.
If not then have a prop shop measure it for you.As long as you are changing check out the Turning Point Hustler.
