I believe the subject engine is a '97 Carb'd model.
I'm looking at a boat 2 of these engines, I thought the SaltWater Series engines were fuel injected.
Are the newer fuel injected plug and play with the older Carb'd engines?

The U says it is a 96.
not sure what you mean by plug and play with a injected motor

By plug and play I'm referring to the harness and gauges, etc.

There are carburetted Saltwater Series models and their are EFI Saltwater Series models.

The controls and gauges are interchangeable.

If you are wanting The fuel injected model ,which I highly recommend, you need to look at something a little newer.I have year 2000 and its injected.Charlie
