Yamaha Speedo problem

[150 Yamaha]

My Yamaha 150 4 stroke speedo is not showing any boat speed. I have tested the gauge and it is fine. I have tested the plastic tube back to the engine and that is fine. I have removed the lower unit, but not sure where the water in take is for the gauge, I can not blow any air through the speedo tube which leads into the lower unit? Should I be able to?

the pich up is on the leading edge of the gear case. a small hole on the frount. use a small drill bit BY HAND and you shoul be able to clear it.
