I Removed The Four Wire Connector From The Remote Tank And Tested Continuity Of The Wires From The Connector Back To The Connector Inside The Engine Cowling.all Tested Good.i Checked The Brown Wire For 12v.nothing.i Then Peeled Back The Harness And Followed The Brown Wire.it Went To A Three Wire Connector Of Which Two Wires Go To A Trim Switch.the Brown Wire Was Not Used It Just Went To A Blank In The Connector.i Though It Was Supposed To Be Hot With The Ignition On.it Its A 2001 Model.the Oil Pump Will Work If Connected To 12v.alrm System Will Sound If Oil Is Low.

your either on the wrong harness or the brown wire is broken.
from the blue four wire connector on the engine side the brown wire enters the main harness just behind the engine 10 pin harness and splices into a yellow.
that yellow is key on 12V+.
brown to the remote tank is hot anytime the key is on or something is broke.

Rodbolt, There Is Slight Melting On The Ecu, Could This Have Anything To Do With It, No Power In Brown Wire, I Am Sure We Have The Right Harness. Going From The Four Wire Harness Connector Towards The Motor The Brown Wire End At Another Three Pin Connector Towards Trim Switch, Its The Original Harness And Has Not Been Messed With Before, Motor Runs Fine, Could There Be A Problem At Key Ignition Switch Thank You

your chasings farts on the wall.
quit.
12V+ DOES NOT come from the ECU.
only the ground path does for normal operation.
the one you want is blue and square and has a brown, blue, black and black/red.
anyother and your on the wrong harness.
brown will splice into yellow inside that black taped up main harness.

Rodbolt If The Ground Path Was Fryed Within The Ecu How Would That Affect The Circuit, I Cannot Locate The Color Wires You Mention, I Am About To Strip The Tape Of The Whole Harness

there should be a blue plug on the harness wire with the color wires rodbolt mentioned. Maybe the previous owner premixed and cut the wires.. Gauge wires have the same plug so make sure plugs are not mixed.

RE: S200TXRU Help with oil transfer problem

RE: S200TXRU Help with oil transfer problem

I have issues with oil transfer as well, I have voltage and ground right to remote oil pump on brown and black with key on and emergency switch does activate the oil pump. but no oil transfer when I actvate the oil sensor. the alarm does go off, I installed a good used oil level sensor and replaced the harness from the engine to the remote pump, Checking voltage On black/red pos meter on brown and neg on black red shows about 9.83volts if the oil sensor is activated or not. Reading through the threads where exactly is the remote tank switch? and how can I check the ground is completing from the ECU. I was thinking to put pos meter to 12volt and neg to black/red out of ecu then activate the oil sensor? would this work? can anyone help, Thanks,

Tom

you should start a new thread for your question. I had a similar problem. Read this thread it might help.

You might need a new oil level sensor if you dont have 2 ground paths coming from it when activated.
