I just installed a new tach and it seem to be working fine , except the trim signal (the black bars)on the right does not move up or down when the switch on the control box is activated. It stays on top all the time. The motor moves fine in the up and down position and the the signal worked fine on the previous tach. I checked that spring stuff at the back that sends the signal and it works perfect.

This new tach is a more modified version in that it has one outlet from the back with 10 wires. The old one had two outlets, the smaller one with black and blue light wires . I am wondering if there is some other connection necessary to activate this bar. Also which of the wires are the trim wires. I suspect the two to the small plug in.,looks like the green and white/green and red .

Thanks

The two green wires are for the trim indicator. You may need a harness that converts the old wiring to the new guage.

Ray..
any idea how do I get this harness ? What exactly do I ask for when I order ?
Cant be much of a set up as all the wires match up. except the older tach picked up a ground from the black and with the blue ran the light . The blue now comes from the one outlet at the back and the light works. It's just the tilt indicator that wont move down when the motor is tilted down.

Thanks..
