Yamaha tilt clyinder rebuild

Does anyone have any experience performing a rebuild on a '99 Yamaha 225 tilt clyinder?<br />The dealer who checked out these engines before I purchased then said that the seals were "blown"<br />Is it possible that the system just needs fluid or bleeding?<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />sstarnes

Seals that are leaking externally are easy to identify, but internal o-rings aren't. I suppose it depends on exactly what is Blown. But first I'd make sure the fluid is full with the rams fully extended. They're largely self-bleeding.

not difficult at all but you will need the cyl cap tool and the trim cap tool.
