hi i have what i think is a 1999 or 2000 yamaha vmax 175 does anyone have any idea what the model number might be or any idea at all the number are all wore off of it

also when you are adjusting the carbs turning the pilot screw out make the mixture more lean and in make it more rich???????

cant help much on the model.
the carb design is fixed pilot air and fixed pilot fuel.
the only way to change the air fuel ratio is change a jet.
the mixture screws simply allow more or less of the fixed ratio into the intake when the throttle is closed.
