I'm a Yamaha tech...never heard of 2-w...use Yamalube 2M and add ringfree to your gas....this is very critical on HPDI engines...makes all the difference

2W is ment for use in Yamaha watercraft with catalytic exhausts. Dont use it in your outboard.

The 2-W is for personal water craft. (jet skies and jet boats)

The Yamahalube 2W (watercraft) has a large amount of metallic additives for the constantly changing rpms on a PWC.

Yamalube 2M (marine outboard) is designed for outboard motors which have a different duty cycle than other types of 2-strokes.

If they are mixed, they may gell up or cause oil filter plugging at the boat mounted tank.

Yamaha 2W is NOT, repeat NOT, TC-W3 approved either, which is required for outboard warranty.
