Can you use Yamalube as a pre-mix. When reading about it for a 2-stroke it only states for injected. Can you use it for premix carb'd? JUst want to make sure I don't screw up my new to me 96' 200HP OX66 that has been carb'd.

Re: Yamalube with NON-injected

yamalube is fine for premix. I used it for years in my premix, carbed 90C Yamaha with no problems, switched to Pennzoil Marine 100% Synthetic which seems to burn cleaner, less smoke, less carbon, cleaner plugs. I also use the Stabil Marine and Yamaha Ringfree all the time. a fuel/water seperator is also a great addition for fuel system preventive maintenance. Good Luck!

OX66 is strictly an EFI designation and came from the factory with oil injection. cant have carbs and OX66, simply not possible.
pics of the port and stbd side of the engine with the hood off and a full model number will aide in identifying your engine.

I "mis spoke" on the OX66. It's a 1996 200HP Salt Water Series II. I beleive the model is a *200TXRU. Can't recall if the first letter is an S or L. Will have to double check later.
