Two quick questions:

1. How do you winterize a Four stroker? Is it the same as a 2-stroke - ie. fogging through the carbs?

2.What are the limitations for throttle range - ie. Caterpillar state something like 1 hour in 12 can be at 'flat out' for their V8's.

Should an outboard always be run at 85% power or similar?

Thanks for any help.

Re: Yammy F50 questions

that motor, as long as the cooling system and and fuel system is in top shape you can run 5500 RPM till your bladder bursts.
fogging is about the same the motor is self draining and does not care about weather.
your trying to protect the shiney parts inside and prevent fuel system degradation.
I also add crankcase stor-n-start to the oil at layup.
helps protect the valvetrain and other shiny parts inside. the objective is to keep the shiney parts shiney.
