Hum. Some of you may know who Mike Barnicle is. He is a long time columnist for the Globe and now I think he is with the NYT. He also sits in for Chris Mathews on MSNBC from time to time in addition to being a frequent guest.<br /><br />He had his 11 year old son at the game last night. The kid was wearing a Sox hat that the kid prizes. It's well worn from years of use.<br /><br />Seems an adult in the stands ripped the hat off the kids head and made some remarks to the kid... If that's how winners act I prefer to be a loser.

Hey Ralph I will second that!!! Absolutly no call for that kind of behaviour. We should be Happy that we got the breaks we did otherwise it sure looked like the Sox were going and we were staying home!!

By the way, when one team is "no match" for the other they don't go all the way to 7 games and extra innings. No match is a sweep. No match on any day is a blow out. Neither applies here.<br /><br />These teams played each other 26 times and only 1 win separated them. 1 win. No match? hardly.

Ralph, I will go along with the fan doing what they did as wrong.<br />That was really a show bad sportsmanship on his/her part.<br /><br />Something the kid will remember for a long time.<br /><br />Yes they played both played a good game and yes the one momentary loss of concentration on Grady's part cost them the game.<br /><br />Man, look at all them big words I used.

So much for being interested in the Series. Was really rooting for the "losers." For the most part, I think the loser's "played" better ball than the winners, but judgement and breaks are part of the game, and that edge went to the winners. So, the best teams won and the better "players" lost. Just my .02. At least now I don't have to waste anytime one the series - cause I really do not care who wins.

Seems to me that both of the second place teams were vastly outmanaged by the winners. Dusty and Grady seemed to have lost thier perspective during the last couple games. Pedro was left in a full inning too long, same with Kerry Wood.

Pedro should not have been pitching past the 6th inning. It they made a pitching change we very well could have won.<br /><br />Kenny, I have to give it to you.
