Year built & where-help

I have a mid/late 1990's ? johnson 15 hp 4 stroke can anyone till me what the year is and where/who produced it? thanks MOD# j15freoc

EO are the date letters for 1995

I dont see anything in the parts diagrams to suggest that is a rebadged model. Does the name plate not give the country of manufacture?

If it were built anywhere but USA, it should have a letter preceeding the "J". Some were "A"=Australia, "H"=Hong Cong, "C"=Canada, and more.

Ok thanks' I did not know OMC made any USA four stroke motors ever. I thought they only built 2 strokes in north America. It has no letter in front but it also does not state Built in etc...just says Outboard Marine Corporation.
