Year of 9.9 Seahorse

Think I posted this in the wrong area. Hope this is the right one. I'm trying to find the year of the motor <br />There is a metal stamp near the carb that says 10655H and E0001609 another number stamped into the back wall where the electric starter would go is numbered 319350<br />Pictures of motor can be seen here...<br /> http://johnfrancis.org/SEAHORSE/JohnSon9.9.html <br />all help appreciated...<br />jf...

Looks like the gal has been around a while. <br /><br />1976<br /><br />FYI:<br />In the second and third pictures FROM THE BOTTOM, there is a metal tag on the transom bracket, about 5 inches below the tiller arm. The model and serial number are on it. Looks like it has been painted over, hope you can still read it.
