The sticker is missing but the metal plug on the block I found the plug had this on it.....R8171587. Can anyone do anything with that I sure couldnt. Thanx in advance for the help. Trying to help a buddy out with his motor.

Decal appears to be custom.--------I would say it is 1991 or newer based on what I see in the picture.-----Post some close up pictures of the powerhead.----Is there a big red plug on the wiring harness ?

1995 was last year of the big red plug.------91 to 95 have essentially the same parts on them.

Racerone, on a lot of post-1990 johnsons, they offered the American flag decals on stock motors. I've seen some.
