Have a 70 HP Evinrude Motor and was told it was a 1973 but also being told first year for 70's was 1974. Model Number is 70573B and Serial Number J0005802T. Also, on this year what type of shifting does it have. I know it is not electric but is it hydroelectric or mechchanical. Was told by the dealer it was mechanical but the forum says it may be hdroelectric. Boat goes to forward when shifted to reverse and vise versa.
