Can someone help with the year of my Mercury 500 Thunderbolt ignition 50 hp motor? The serial number is 4361254. I come up with 1976 but I was researching a new wiring harness on this site--->

and my harness looks like 414-5532 but the chart shows that my 50hp 1976 should use harness 414-3369? Can anyone shed some light on this subject? I picked up a complete boat and motor for 280 bucks but the wiring is all dry rot and the MerControl wiring looks a mess. I intend to restore the wiring and controls and put the motor on another boat I am restoring. Thanks.
