My serial number from the plug hole is 978488, believed to be a Mariner 25. Does this number jive with 1993? The Marinsopen web site has 0970000-0991000 or something like that but I don't see a 0 in front of my number. Anyone know?<br />thanks
Its common to drop that leading 0 on the serial no. For instance, if I input my serial no. on Merc's express parts web page, it will automatically put the 0 in front of it. The 0 does not appear on the ID plate on the motor.
