Doesn't look like I get to go Elk hunting in Colorado this year ... they said they had 1500 tags left for the area I want to hunt, but when I called they were all gone! :( A family friend had a buddy back out on him and I was going to be the replacement if I could get a tag for the first season ... maybe next year!

Re: Bummer

One last hope, there are a few tags left that are being sold over the phone today ... been trying to get a line for 2 hours now ... nothing but busy signal. Wish me luck the rest of the day (381 eithe sex elk tags in my WMU left as of 30 minutes ago).

Congrats Art. :) what area are you going to hunt, nearby towns. I have family out there in Park county? I am pretty familiar with the whole state, would be interesting to know where your going to be. The montrose area has some monster elk.

Flathead, we are heading to Oak Creek - it is north west of Denver. I am looking forward to it ... the guy that is taking me has been going for about 10 years and he has not come back empty handed yet ... that is a good sign. Hope the luck holds out for this year! I will take the camera!
