I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas and plan on fishing all year long. But, we do get some short periods of freezing weather. I store my boat in a enclosed boat storage place. I should take it out fishing at least once a week as long a the weather permits. Do I have to do anything special when it freezes? I store the moter down as to drain all the water out but is their more I should do to prevent any problems.<br />Thanks.

I would just run stabilizer in with the fuel from now on in case it does freeze. That will keep you fuel in good shape. Like you said, make sure the lower unit is in the down position to drain any water in it. Might be a good time to change the lower unit fluid to be sure there is no moisture in there, also. Keep the battery charged up. That's about all you can do.Being in an enclosed area is a big advantage!!
