I don't need to get into too much detail, but a few Miller lights and chucking in the wrong drill bits have led me to set everything down and recoup.

I have (6) 3/8" holes and (1) 1/2" holes where my trim tab is supposed to mount...where do I go from here?

Actually this can be a good thing. The worst thing anyone can do it drill a hole in their boat. If it is done right, it will reduce the issues in the future and you could have by mistake done it right. The right way is to drill a bigger hole, fill with epoxy like Marinetex then redrill the smaller hole. This allows the hole to be sealed to all water.

Get some Marinetex and fill the holes and redrill. Use some 3M 5200 in the screw holes and between hinges

What size holes do you want? What kind of fasteners are you going to use?

I figured on utilizing 1/4" bolts and toggles at first...but didn't like the idea of drilling such large holes. So i decided to use lags. I could get away with using 5200...(6) 7/16" lags and (1) 1/2" lag. It just doesn't seem like the right way to do it and I hate scab work.
