yet another prop question

I have read various posts for hours but still cannot figure out the best choice for my boat. Last summer I had the boat running great then... my brother in law whacked the crap out of my prop. (Can't be mad; he gave me the boat!)
So what is the best thing to do? Buy a new prop? Get the old one rebuilt?
The guy at my local shop said a rebuild with a new/rebuilt hub would be better that a new prop (about $185). I find that hard to believe. Also, what pitch should I use? What was the original pitch? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to spend as little as possible on the prop. Here is some info on the boat:
1988 Bayliner Fish and Ski 18'10"
Force 125 (not the Through exhaust)
Original Prop marked with PS665 and A665265 - Can't find any other markings
If it matters I live at about 3500 feet and use the boat in waters near that elevation. Some lakes are 1000-2000 feet higher.
Like I said previously, it seemed to run well before. I recorded top speed and RPM's at WOT but can't find the paper, d'oh! But as I recall, it was pretty good based on other posts.
Thanks again! Let me know if you need any other info.

Re: yet another prop question

New props can be costly. With the new hub system it's actually better.BUT!!!Go for the rebuild.WAY cheaper.
Try MIchigan Propeller, send them an e-mail with those #s and they can tell you what pitch etc.J
