Hi, I have an Avon inflatable , the front bow has a rubber compartment sealed with a large YKK zipper. The zipper tracks themselves are intact however the slider broke off, can I just get a replacemnet slider and crimp it on?

Zippers can be a real headache to work on, but you may be able to crimp on another metal slider if you can find one. I guess to replace that zipper could also be a problem? Guess that's the reason Velcro is so popular!...Good Luck!
Is there anyway to string through a small piece of nylon line with a small bit of rubber hose which acts as a grab? Zippers are a pain in the butt and with diving gear it's either velcro, or stainless steel sliders which are very difficult to break off.
Contact YYK America at http://ykkamerica.com/fasteningproducts.html and ask if they have any suggestions. Never hurts to ask for a replacement from their customer service department.
