Zinc.....Can I clean it???????

I have a 15hp evinrude outboard and a Motor guide great white saltwater series trolling motor. They both have the Zinc anode on them. Can I clean them? or is it a "replace only" item........

Yes, you can clean them... Just Don't paint them..... Replace them when 3/4s to 1/2 Gone.....
