hey guys i built me a new lower for my v6 have shot my primer coat of zinc chromate , will let dry at 75 degrees for 24 hours, it needs a little scuffing has a little over spray texture to it .is it scuffable or wet sandable before i shoot it with the oem paint, what should i slick it up with 600 wet,
scotchbrite or what any input on this would be great ,want to shoot it tommorrow,so i can put multiple light coats on it , should i shoot it after i finish with some oem clear, thanks

Re: zinc chromate question

Are you shooting it over bare metal? Yes you can sand it a little with 600 and just fill the gaps with touch up. Do the oem paint and clear coat for a real nice final finish.

Re: zinc chromate question

Hey Benny
Spray bombs work great!
Check my Johnson/crestliner thread to see my cowl.
I used Moeller acrylic lacquer engine paint... johnson arctic white.
It looks like glass.
I'm gonna bury the decals under with clear after they set for a while.
I have a great guy who made the decals for me real cheap.(ebay)
He can make any decal you like.
I can send you his link if you like

Good luck
