Zinc kits?

My boat is shrink wrapped so I cannot see what I need....I have a 1998 johnson 130. Do the sell motor specific zinc kits that have all the zincs I need? I don't know what I need

They dont list an OEM anode kit for that motor.....there is the usual one above the trim tab #0436745 and one on the propshaft bearing carrier #0431708.....the bearing carrier would have to be removed so you could replace it though.....also a large one on the midsection stern bracket #0433580.

You need to replace them when they are more than 1/2 corroded away. It only takes a couple of minutes to replace them. You can usually replace them just before you launch.

Unless they shrinkwrapped the gearcase, you should be able to see two of the three.

I have a similar question regarding anodes I got a 1970 40hp Evinrude in really good condition and noticed it did not have an anode on it, do you have any suggestions for me as to install and where to locate?

You can get a smaller one from a BRP dealer and mount it on top of your antiventilation towards the rear.

Mine has two OEM ones only, both on the gearcase.....you have the option of adding some as boobie suggested.....probably not really necessary unless you boat and moor it exclusively in saltwater.

Depends on how much of them is left.....the one on the propshaft bearing carrier will probably be a pain to replace so unless its more than half gone you might want leave it and replace the other two if they are in poor condition.....
