I have two zincs attached to my left toon bracket and my engine also a zinc attached.... My right toon has no brackets therefore no zincs attached. I was thinking to further protect the right toon i would buy a hanging fish zinc and clip it to the right toon while docked and hang it in the water... Was wondering what others thought??? Is it too much zinc or is what m doing smart ...My pontoon is staying at a marina in salt water (barnegat bay)... Thanks all

Another one is not needed. All pontoon metal parts should electrically connected therefore at the same electrical potential.

I also use our pontoon in salt water. When I contacted the manufacturer regarding zincs, I was advised to place one on each toon and the motor. A year later, no issues.

If the question is can you have too many zinc's then the answer is no. It then becomes a question as to if you need that many. As was mentioned before, the toons should be electrically connected through the construction so if your current zinc's are decomposing at an an alarming rate then I would add more. If not, then you're probably good as you are. Just clean them off regularly to promote connectivity and replace when they start looking hagard.
