Oh I would SOOO be out trout fishing in that...
Last time that water froze over was 100+ years agoIt looks like it's starting to cool down in the picture but still has a ways to go.
You haven't arrived yet until that body of water in the background is frozen over. Then you grab a couple of hockey sticks and a puck....and winter begins. In the meantime, maybe some cross country skiing.
I now live on the (Canadian) West coast so snow is mostly a thing of the past, now replaced by rain (same as Seattle area). I lived in Ontario for years and I miss a 'true' winter like that shown here in your photo. There is a lot to do in Winter and it can be a great time of year. When it becomes a bummer is when is becomes too long a season. I love the snow and winter for a 2-3 months but I like it gone come the end of February.
Great photo!

Sure would be nice to have 59 tomorrowAwe inspiring pic.
We had similar coverage here but are now in the thaw for the next couple days. 48 F as I type this with a forecast of 59 F tomorrow. What a mess especially when the temps drop overnight and we end up with iced over roads.
Yeah, but there ain't no trout out there. Tidal, salt water, that's why it ain't froze over like everything else within 200 miles of here
There's always seals.Oh, well cold water just reminds me of trout. But if that's the case, I would SOOO be out fishing for whatever is out there and good to eat.![]()
