You gotta let that stuff go once you leave the thread in question... otherwise it just builds up and eventually you become bitter at the world.

I call things as I see them, and I may not pull many punches, but I also don't hold many grudges. It's a good way to keep the conversation civil most of the time. :)

Yes, sir. Thank your for correcting me in my wrong doings of the world. I'm forever indebted to you. I was 100% wrong in joking with JB, a moderator. I would like to say I'd never do it again, but I'd probably be lying.

Again, thank you for taking it upon yourself to correct me. My wife appreciates the help.

Re: Weather alert

Being laid up with my knee recovery, I worried about my LumberJill taking care of the woodburner for this cold snap. I'm very proud of her, the house is nice and toasty of about 78* while outside the wind is blowing snow and being nasty. At least while this crap is going on, I don't have to worry about being called in for loss of heat in stores I maintain. Guess there is a good point about my surgery after all :D

BTW, wild birds are fed and the pets are protected. Won't be long before this crap is over with for another year.

Maybe when I am older I will complain..............as for now I really don't mind the cold. (JB, the same goes for you folks down there complaining about the heat :) )

The part that is the worst is the blowing snow. Just a few days ago we got 20" of snow here.....and 4" or so since then. The snow drifts are getting pretty dangerous on the roads.

Its been a pretty harsh winter.......lots of snow, lots of cold, and during a warm spell some tornados up here.

Once it gets down to around zero, it all feels the same. -10F when I woke up.....went out and started the truck and brushed it off while in slippers, shorts and a tshirt, no biggie. I'm built for the weather........:D

Here is what is blowing around......my patio sits 6-8" off the ground for a reference of that snow height. The Weber grill is full size.

This is outside my laundry room........the snow pile is about 7-8ft hight and is 10ft wide and stretchs the whold side of the building.

Re: Weather alert

I'm in the freezer here in southwest MN. I know some people like it but, I don't. Can't really do anything outside. The worst part is this always happens on the weekends. It's to cold to even risk driving the 40-50 miles to the nearest decent sized town and get supplies. It's always cold in my old drafty house too. Wish I was one of those lucky people with wood burners. But, my landlord won't let me have one.

Actually the quote you're looking for is "As long as old men sit & talk about the weather, as long as old women sit & talk about old men"
