I have a 2000 bayliner capri with a 3L 4cyl the problem is the exhaust is noisy now it seems to exit right at the transom there are 2 holes l and R sides it also exits at the prop some but while crusing its still exiting out the top near the transom. We have removed the engine and gettin it rebuilt and while it out I would like to fix this problem. here is what I noticed the pipe that bolt to the outdrive has a flapper which is gone. Now down at the connection to the outdrive the outdrive has 3 holes one big one and 2 small just below and L and R of big hole. is there a valve that is missing or did the flap or shutter get blown down the main pipe and is now clogging it? has anyone ran in to this please help it very annoying to have such a loud boat.
