Hi Just bought a 3hp Evenrude Yachtwin model 3832A

What ratio 2 stroke fuel should I use in it?

The knobs are missing off the switches by the choke there are 2 of them what are they for please.

The shaft has 2 screws with levers and a hinge is this model a folding engine?

1968, use 50:1 fuel mix with TC-W3 outboard oil.

The knobs are for adjusting the fuel/air misture. Lower one is for High speed and upper is for idle speed. Set them to where it runs the best at high and idle speed and then forget them.

Yep, you have a folding Yachtwin.

I got this engine in a garage sale paid equivelent of $50 is that a fair price.

I have not started it up yet so do not know if it is a goer seller said it is.

I would have bought several at $50 each if they had em! That's a good deal for any 3hp with compression let alone a folder...

The easier way to see if it has reasonable compression is to just pull the starter... does it go thunk thunk thunk? as long as you have compression the rest is easy to get going...

you save enough if it is not a runner, you can make it one. they go in the neighborhood of $300 up, depending on condition. with the case even more.
