Swivel jack installation

I just bought a swivel jack for my trailer -- I finally got tired of cranking the original (circa 1972) non-swivel one all the way up/down! Installation seems very simple, but does anyone have any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

My only suggestions is to make sure the jack will not interfere when turning the trailer at sharp angles and re torque the mounts after a few uses. Also make sure it's heavy duty enough for your application.

Thanks BT. The jack I bought is rated for 1000 lbs, which should be plenty for my 2000 lb 16' boat. If my tongue weight is anywhere near 1000 lbs I've got other problems. :)

I can see how that would be a problem :)

Happy cranking..

I would hook up your pickup to the trailer and then put down the tailgate. then install it back enough as to not hit the gate when its down.

Great suggestion, however I pull my boat with an SUV so no tailgate to worry about.
