Try the engine owner's manual. If you don't have one, try downloading one from BRP's website.

Fuel restriction alarm, not enough fuel flow, leads to burnt pistons.

As stated, Check Engine Alarm is due to a fuel restriction. Check your fuel filters and the antisiphon valve in the fuel tank pickup.

BTW - You will get more advise if you are polite. Wilde1J was trying to assist.

Boy, you're lucky to get any help at all with that pissy attitude.

If you indeed have an owner's manual, you would know that it is a fuel restriction alarm. This is the absolutely most basic stuff the operator must know, right up there with "pump the bulb, turn the key to start."

But your original post indicated that you had no idea what the alarm was even for. This in turn indicates you really would need to get an owner's manual if you don't have one! Therefore, his comment was entirely appropriate.

An approriate response from you would have been:

"Thanks. Yes, I do have an owner's manual and know that it's a fuel restriction alarm. But I can't figure out what to do about it. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some pointers how to troubleshoot it."

or:

"Thanks. I don't have an owner's manual, and thanks for the heads up. I will try to get one as soon as I can. In the mean time, what is a fuel restriction? What causes it? Is it something I can troubleshoot myself?"

Now was that so hard?

Since I gave you such a hard time, do you now feel like you have something to go on, as far as troubleshooting a fuel restriction?

The fuel restriction alarm is at the fuel pump. To troubleshoot, trace the fuel (not oil) line all the way from the fuel pump to the pick up in the tank and look for anything that can cause a restriction. This includes any in-line filters, the anti-siphon valve, kinks, etc.

You can also run a fuel line directly from a known good tank or even a simple jug of appropriate fuel directly to the fuel pump. In other words, bypass possible trouble areas.

But my guess is that it's either a filter, the pickup being clogged or partially clogged, or the anti-siphon valve.
